General Biography

Beginning at the age of 12 in motocross, Adam Ferman has won races and championships in every level of competition. At 23, he switched to four wheels and soon earned success by entering and winning several rock crawling and off road short-course races.

In 2005 Adam took his team to be one of only 5 teams to complete the Real Truck Club Challenge for Four Wheeler and Offroad Magazine and The Outdoor Channel. In 2006 the team pulled off a first place finish, and was featured in Four Wheeler Magazine and spotlighted on The Outdoor Channel TV show.

Adam has since built a custom fab and chassis shop in Plymouth, Indiana where he and the team build custom rock crawlers and short course race trucks.

In 2009 The Hack took on a new race series called TREC Racing. TREC is Trail Racing Endurance Circuit a.k.a. FOOT TO THE FLOOR – AVOID THAT TREE – FLY THROUGH THE AIR – KEEP IT ON AT LEAST TWO WHEELS RACE. In the first race Adam and the Hack Shack team had to enter in the exhibition class, as they where the only team running a two wheel drive vehicle. At first, the TREC promoters where not going to let the team race. But after much persistence on Adam’s end, they were finally given the green light to race and to this day The Hack Shack team still holds the record for the best lap time out of all vehicles entered.

Currently Adam and the Hack shack Team are building a hybrid race vehicle, to compete in both TREC and KOH racing for the 2011 season. The build consists of a full bodied Ford Ranger platform, custom tube chassis, long travel suspension, and also keeps the 4WD intact so that all four tires can be powered by the massive LS1 V8 engine.
