CGYS Motorsports – Justin Lawson – Duane Garretson

CGYS Motorsports, based in Fort Smith, Arkansas, is one of the premier rock sports teams in the central United States… With two years and nearly 25,000 miles of dragging two rigs across the country showcasing their vehicles, driving skills, and good sportsmanship, they have managed to establish their presence in the racing community. By competing in W.E.Rock, RRock, MOROC, IEC, TREC, Outlaw Racing Series, and two King of the Hammers qualifiers, CGYS Motorsports has cemented itself as and up-and-comer in their ever growing sport of rock crawling.

The CGYS Pro-Mod buggy has been battered and bruised relentlessly for two seasons now… Pulling double duty as a technical rock crawler and high speed endurance racer, the #6 car has proved very versatile. In a race season shortened by a catastrophic crash in the second Outlaw Race, several podium finishes were still achieved, including a 3rd place finish at W.E.Rock East series event #3 as well as a 3rd in the first Outlaw Race at the Southern Missouri Off Road Ranch in Seymour, Missouri. Driver, Justin Lawson, and co-dog, Cody Keller, also pulled out a 1st place win at MOROC event #1. Also competing in the RRock series in Hannibal, Missouri, the CGYS Pro-Mod team took home a 3rd place finish while competing against some of the top crawlers in the country.

CGYS Motorsports is also home to the 6th ranked Stock-Mod competitors in the nation: Driver, Duane Garretson, and Co-driver, Jeffery Speer. Duane’s TJ crawler has shown its 400+ horsepower all over the country in the past couple of years. With a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in RRock as well as a 2nd place overall in the series, the CGYS Stock-Mod team is a force to be reckoned with at the Hannibal Rocks Park. Duane and Jeffery also faired extremely well in MOROC racing, earning a 1st, two 2nd’s, and 2nd overall in the series in 2010. These guys also hit any local competitions and historically have dominated them all. W.E.Rock Nationals at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah, was the final stop on this duo’s competition calendar. There they managed a 6th place finish among the elite in the rock crawling world.

CGYS Motorsports is a subsidiary of Come Get Ya Some Off Road and Performance Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Over the past ten years, they have continued to grow into what is now the largest off-road shop in the state. They currently have a 6,500 square foot facility that incorporates a 1,700 square foot retail showroom with an eight bay service/fabrication shop.
