Kayla Smith

Kayla Smith

At only 16 years old, Kayla Smith is an excellent motocross racer. She lives in Bakersfield, CA, where she is a junior in High School, and maintains a 3.8 GPA. Kayla is also enrolled in college courses at Bakersfield College, with dreams of studying law at USC Law School.

She began riding dirt bikes in 2006 and after one year, she then took up racing motocross. Kayla started off on a TTR-125 and after five months she stepped it up to a CRF150R where she then raced it nonstop for a year and a half. In the fall of 2009, she purchased her first Kawasaki KX250F and she was hooked! Since then, she has also purchased a 2011 KXF, and it has only made improvements to her racing. Her results have continued to stay at a consistent 1st, and she plans on remaining in the position and working her way up to adding national titles to the list.

Kayla is currently preparing for AMP’s Dodge Nationals at Hangtown. She has also been preparing to qualify for Lorreta Lynn’s this 2011 season, and feels very positive and hopeful that she will bring home two titles both in the 250cc am class and the Women’s Open class.
