Ty Wolfskill was born on October 14th 1996 in Glendale, AZ. Racing has always been in his blood. Ty’s great uncle and grandfather raced off-road, and his two uncles raced streetbikes but quit to join Ty in racing the Pilots.

Ty has worked in the streetbike and off-road pits. With everyone else racing, he wanted to take part in the adrenaline rush. His dad put him in the fourth Pilot that was used as a parts car. His first few races were frustrating, as his car would break or he would make an error that would end the race. Once Ty got the car figured out, he started finishing the races. By the end of the year, he was the 2009 Champion!

For 2010, the team started to modify his car and he was bumped up to the Sport Class. The team had missed a few of the races due to financial issues, so this put Ty behind in points.  On the second-to-last race, Ty had the worst crash of his racing career. He had the holeshot and led the first lap. On the second lap, his rear shock blew up going into the moguls. The explosion sent him fifteen feet into the air and did two front flips. Ty landed on the nose of his car, and launched him back into the air to do another front flip before landing upside down. When he got out of the car, they learned that he had a concussion. He also had two large bruises above both knees, which caused a problem with his shin. This crash gave him a DNF. Ty also missed the next race. He ended up getting 2nd in the championship.

Ty went four months without racing. His old car was totaled, so he moved into his uncles’ fully modified Pilot. He was now in the Unlimited Class for 2011. The first race was at Speedworld, the same track where he had crashed. Ty started dead last on the main event where he then worked his way up to the front and took the win! Ty is in second place in the championship with only one race to go and everyone at 4130 is rooting for him to take it all the way!
